"We've been looking for this little girl for over 24 hours until he took us to the location," said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Sylvester Johnson.

"He stopped us, during an interview ... he took us to the body and recovered the little girl."

The body was discovered about a mile-and-a-half from the sleepover site, police said.

The incident follows the abduction in Philadelphia last month of 7-year-old Erica Pratt, who made a daring escape from the house in which she was being held. Two men were arrested in connection with the incident.
