IRVINGTON, Kentucky (CNN) -- At least one person was killed in Kentucky and another in eastern Missouri by severe storms that swept through the area overnight.

Officials in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, said a man was killed when a tornado struck his mobile home on the southwest side of Irvington, about 40 miles southwest of Louisville. The twister also damaged a subdivision on the south side of town.

"There was a pretty good-size motor home turned upside-down on a boat," said Breckinridge Sheriff's Deputy Sandra Wood.

In Marble Hill, Missouri, 93 miles south of St. Louis, a police dispatcher confirmed one death but said no further information was available. Dozens were injured, the dispatcher said.
