Freetown Part 5: DoubtsBy Sorious Samura FREETOWN, Sierra Leone (CNN) -- Back to Freetown, where Mariama has been staying with Mrs. Mani while we took Tamba to Kono.
She's made some friends, but she is still quiet, and I am concerned for her. It was a confusing time finding Mariama's mother. At first we thought she was in Kono but after three weeks of frustration, social workers found her in Freetown running a market stall. At meeting her family, Mariama seems distant, and it leaves me wondering if it was right to take her away from the rebels. "Did you ever think that you would see her again?" I ask her grandfather. "This one? I never remembered, never thought of that. God bless you all," he says.
