Blast causes minor damage in Afghan capitalCNN KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A small bomb exploded Sunday night outside the United Nations guest house in the center of Kabul, Afghanistan. The explosion wounded an Afghan man slightly and caused minor damage to the building. The device appears to have been planted in a garbage can outside the guest house.
No one has taken responsibility for the bombing, the latest in a series of small explosions in the Afghan capital. A bomb exploded this month outside the Afghan Ministry of Communications, causing slight damage and no casualties. Afghan authorities have said remnants of al Qaeda and the Taliban continue to operate in the city. |
