SEOUL, South Korea -- The death toll from a highway bus crash rose to 15 after two more people died in hospital overnight, police said on Sunday, Reuters reports.

The accident happened near Ockchon, 125 miles southeast of Seoul, said Kim Hyang-mi, an official at the National Highway Corp, told the Associated Press.

Among the dead are two foreign nationals whose identities were not immediately available, Kim said.

She said it was unclear whether the bus passengers included World Cup tourists.

South Korea is co-host to the May 31-June 30 soccer tournament.

The truck and the bus crashed head-on in rainy weather in North Chungchong Province in central Korea at around 3:30 p.m. (0630 GMT), on Saturday, YTN news channel said.

Around 20 passengers were said to be seriously injured and were taken to hospital, YTN said.
