Belgium pegged back by Tunisia
OITA, Japan (CNN) -- Belgium and Tunisia ended deadlocked at 1-1 under the roof of the Big Eye Stadium in Oita to leave Group H wide open going into the final round of matches. Belgium led for just four minutes before being pegged back in the 17th minute by a brilliant curling free-kick. And as the humidity slowed down the game in the second half, both teams looked happy to settle for a draw. Raouf Bouzaiane's left foot strike -- his first international goal -- was richly deserved as Tunisia, fighting to stay in the competition after losing their first match 2-0 to Russia, were quicker and created more chances before the break. Australian referee Mark Shield blew for the free-kick, for a foul on the edge of the penalty area, just as Khaled Badra thundered in the loose ball. Belgium, who drew their first game 2-2 with Japan, had taken a 14th minute lead when Marc Wilmots swept in Branko Strupar's header amid confusion in Tunisia's defence.
There were few chances in the second half although Kais Ghodhbane volleyed just wide on 50 minutes then at the other end keeper Ali Boumnijel had to dash out to block Bart Goor's shot. Japan lead the group with four points from two games. Russia have three, Belgium two and Tunisia one, but all teams can still qualify for the knockout stages.
