S. Korea's Kim may make Dutch tripSEOUL, South Korea (Reuters) -- President Kim Dae-jung may make a special visit to a small Dutch town later this year in honor of South Korea's soccer coach Guus Hiddink, the Korea Times newspaper said on Tuesday. Hiddink, now a national hero, has steered unfancied South Korea into the semifinals of the World Cup, the first time an Asian team has reached the last four. The newspaper said Kim was considering making a detour to Hiddink's hometown of Wisch during a visit to Denmark for an Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in September. A presidential Blue House official said Kim's itinerary had not been finalized. "We are in no position to confirm that yet," said Yu Chul-jun, assistant secretary to the president. Hiddink has coached Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, Turkey's Fenerbahce, Valencia and Real Madrid in Spain as well as the Dutch national side. South Korea is co-hosting the May 31-June 30 World Cup finals with Japan, who have already been eliminated. Copyright 2002 Reuters. All rights reserved.
