DARYN KAGAN, CNN ANCHOR: Apparently there have been some developments in that hijacked Afghan jetliner just outside of London.
Let's bring in Richard Blystone with the latest -- Richard.
RICHARD BLYSTONE, CNN CORRESPONDENT: Lost it. Going to Daryn Kagan.
All right, we can tell you that just in the last couple of minutes here at Stansted Airport outside London there has been another release of hostages from that Afghan plane. We are told by police that it was two women and one man, that's added to two children, two men and a woman released about four hours ago, eight people in all, and that means the psychology of the authorities who are trying to negotiate with the hostages -- develop a relationship, develop some give and take -- seems to be starting to work.
About an hour ago, there was what seemed to be an exchange of food, boxes of food for boxes of garbage, at the rear of the plane, and more recently there have been pictures from a better vantage point than ours of men, it would appear, in what seem to be balaclava masks, those knitted masks that cover the head and face, moving around under the plane. We are at a lost to explain this right now, and the police press department is unable to give us any details yet. However, they have confirmed that three more people have left.
And as night falls here, there's a kind of strange feeling of normality developing here. The planes are taking off overhead, the police presence has dissipated and bulldozers are distributing gravel for a parking lot for the press. So, it's not over yet. We watch and wait --Daryn.
KAGAN: Richard Blystone bringing us the latest from Stansted, England. Thank you. We will check back with you and continue to follow this story.
