Kite-surfer who hit wall improving, mom says
Kevin Kearney was harnessed to a kite along a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beach Monday when strong winds caught the kite, sending him into the air and slamming him into a nearby wall. The 28-year-old sustained spinal fractures, brain swelling, a broken rib and a broken ankle, among other injuries, but his mother says his condition has improved. full story
